Liam Kingsley under the worst circumstances writes some awesome wolf shifter MPREG books. However for a while Liam Kingsley was getting stale. Liam Kingsley had a certain pattern to his writing that was painfully formulaic and down right predictable. For much too long Liam Kingsley's characters were just reskins of other characters you experienced in his other writings. Now even with painfully recycled characters Liam Kingsley was still a fun Wolf shifter MPREG read but it was like going to a McDonalds anywhere in the Western World i.e. a Big Mac purchased in Baltimore Maryland tastes just like a BIG MAC purchased in Peoria, Illinois. For too long Liam Kingsley's Wolf Shifter MPEG books had an astounding sameness that at first was refreshing but soon became boring.It got to the point where I'd gladly buy Liam Kingsley's work because, I always knew I'd have a solid Wolf Shifter MPREG adventure but it would be much like every other. I'd put Liam Kingsley near the end of my must read list. This Timberwood Cove series changed all that. Liam Kingsley has started taking a few more risks with his character development. His characters are imbued with more human flaws that evolve over time. His characters have more unique dimension and flaws. I'm not sure how I like the inclusion of Dragons as that is a bit 4th wall breaking for me but, I'll give it a try.What I love is these new characters are more their own person and not just the same personal story attached to a different name. Liam Kingsley is finally adding more personal backstories and issues to his characters. Liam Kingsley always wrote a good Wolf Shifter \ MPREG story but it now seems like he has done much more detailed research into the issues his characters experience making their pain more personal and real to the reader. I've gone through much real abuse and pain in my life as an autistic werewolf that has left me hopelessly scared. Liam Kingsley's characters spoke about their abuse, their pain but, I never got the sense they really suffered. Liam Kingsley's characters always left out the touchstone, the unique scars only someone who has lived through abuse knows well.In his Timberwood Cove books the characters seem to have actually experienced the pains they speak about. The small issues, triggers and phobias that scar the psyche of one abused are there. While far from perfect Liam Kingsley's new character generation systems are far better than they were. The Timberwood Cove characters feel far less made up and far more real. The children feel more real and fleshed out. The sense of Pack is deeper. Each book sets you up for the next romance. The Most compelling story in this series was that of Gavin, I adored Gavin, I understood Gavin and my own life story is so much like his without the happy ending. Gavin touched my heart showing me what could have been.Anyways Timberwood Cove is a fresh and refreshing new take by Liam Kingsley in writing Wolf Shifter, MPREG romance. There are still many old tropes Liam Kingsley clings to but, he is beginning to move beyond the tired old formulas that have worked so well for him in the past. Liam Kingsley is beginning to venture out into new and untried narratives. Liam Kingsley has become a better story teller in the Wolf Shifter Universe. Liam Kingsley still has a ways to go before he reaches his wolf shifter story telling zenith but, at least for now he has broken out of his stale old formulaic mold.It would sound like I don't like Liam Kingsley when nothing is further from the truth. I am hard on Liam Kingsley because, I can see in his writing that he is capable of much greater work. Liam Kingsley knows how to breathe life into his characters and stories and his characters but, taking that next bold step is always hard. I am not criticizing Liam Kingsley I hope I am encouraging him in my honest reviews of his work. His characters are good but with work they could be great. Liam's characters and stories to be great!
